Phillips Chevrolet is committed to giving back to the community through charitable activities and community service. We encourage you to take a moment to learn more about some of the causes we support.

Phillips Chevrolet Raises $10K+ for Local Food Pantries

Phillips Chevrolet  dedicated the month of November 2020 to gathering monetary and food donations for local food pantries. Our final total for the month came to $10,950. These funds were split equally and distributed to the Frankfort Township Food Pantry, Lansing Community Food Pantry, and Kankakee County Community Services to advance their missions of helping local families in need. In addition to these funds, each Phillips Chevrolet showroom serves as a year-round collection point for donations of non-perishable food and household items to go to these organizations.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

Phillips Chevrolet reached our 51st Anniversary at the beginning of October, and to celebrate we raised money all month long for the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. This morning, Phillips Chevrolet President Curtis Pascarella (left) and Phillips Chevrolet General Manager Mike Maheras (right) present a check to Karen Bruck from South Suburban Making Strides (center) for $15,000. All three Phillips locations helped us reach our goal, and we thank them for their hard work!

Coat Drive

Every winter, we team up with the community to give the gift of warmth to local families in need this holiday season. During the holiday season, stop by the showroom of any Phillips Chevrolet location with your donation of new or gently used winter gear, including coats, gloves, hats, scarves, and/or socks to help those in need.

Phillips Provides Vehicles for LW Drivers Ed

Phillips Chevrolet partnered with Lincoln-Way School District 210 to provide vehicles for their Drivers Education classes. We will be leasing a total of nine vehicles for three years at no cost to the school district. "We are excited to enter this partnership with Phillips Chevrolet, Inc.," said Superintendent Dr. Scott Tingley. "This provides an excellent opportunity for our students to practice their driving skills in new automobiles."

USO Barbecue for the Troops

Everyone here at Phillips Chevrolet would like to thank all the great folks who came out for our Barbecue for the Troops this Summer. Thanks to you, we raised money to help the USO provide a home away from home for our troops and help keep them connected to their families.

FFA Scholarship Winner

Phillips Auto Group is proud to have teamed with Chevrolet and the National Future Farmers of America to award a $1,000 scholarship to Anna Hickman of Clifton, Illinois. Anna was one of 1,800 finalists to be awarded a scholarship, from over 8,800 applicants, based on her leadership, academic record, FFA and other school/community activities, and future goals. This fall, Anna will head to Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais to study Engineering and we wish her great success.

Chevrolet Youth Baseball

Phillips Chevrolet is proud to participate in the Chevrolet Youth Baseball Program, a grassroots initiative to support local communities. Each year, each Phillips Chevy location supports a local youth baseball team with donations of equipment and a sponsorship check.

Year Round Food Drive

Phillips Chevrolet serves as a collection point for donations to local food pantries. Both Phillips Chevrolet Frankfort and Phillips Chevrolet Lansing have collected over 3,000 items non-perishable grocery items to support our local food banks. Both locations serve as drop-off locations year round, so please help us continue to support local families in need. You can drop your donations off in the showroom of either location during regular business hours.

Holiday Toys For Tots Toy Drive

Phillips Chevrolet is proud to serve as a drop-off point for Toys for Tots every holiday season. With your help, we have donated over $1,000 worth of toys for kids in need to find under their trees during the holiday season.

Children's Heart Foundation

Phillips Chevrolet raised $8800 for the Children's Heart Foundation to help advance Congenital Heart Defect Research. Congenital Heart Defects are America's #1 birth defect, affecting nearly 40,000 babies a year. In the US, twice as many children die from CHDs than from all forms of childhood cancer, but pediatric cancer research funding is five times higher than CHD research funding. For every new vehicle we sold in February, we donated $25 to the Children's Heart Foundation to help advance CHD research. A big thank you to all the great folks who came out and chose a new car or truck from Illinois' Largest Chevy Inventory and helped us help this great cause!

Teddy Bear Care

Phillips Chevrolet and ServPro of Frankfort are proud to support Teddy Bear Care, an organization that collects and distributes teddy bears and other stuffed animals to donate to children in local hospitals. Thank you to everyone who participated in our Teddy Bear drive who helped make a child's hospital stay more "bear-able."

Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation

Phillips Chevrolet is proud to support Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo and the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation in the battle against cancer. Anthony realized during his own battle with cancer that no matter how difficult fighting cancer was to him, it was even more difficult for his family. Anthony believes that an individual does not battle cancer, but that the whole family does. The Mission of the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation is to raise money for cancer research and to provide support to children and their families battling the disease.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

Everyone here at Phillips Chevrolet would like to thank all the great folks who participated in our Making Strides Against Breast Cancer events during the month of October. Thanks to you, we raised $23,000 for the American Cancer Society. Whether you donated when you were visiting our service department, stopped in to our showroom to buy a raffle ticket, or came to our in-store signing event with the Chicago Bears' Michael Bush, we couldn't have done it without your support. We would also like to congratulate Stephanie Moretti from Shorewood, Illinois (pictured to the left with Phillips Chevrolet's General Manager Michael Maheras) who won our Chevy Spark raffle. Of her new car, Stephanie said, "I can't wait to drive it. I love all the stuff inside and the pink is awesome!"
